We are pleased to announce the closing of our latest investment round, enabling the acquisition of the 100MW Old Allen Road Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in West Yorkshire.
This marks the full deployment of our original Battery Storage Fund and the successful closing of a new co-investment vehicle, supported by both existing and new investors. The Old Allen Road BESS will deliver vital grid-balancing services, supporting the UK’s transition to a net zero power system.
With two operational assets, a clear path to 350MW in operation by 2027, and a further 275MW in development, Adaptogen Capital remains committed to enabling a secure, flexible and decarbonised energy future for the UK.
